DIGNITY PERSONIFIED!

!7th of June 2008 Malutai left us for her heavenly abode!

I was lucky to have met her just a few months ago; we talked about the temple, her book in which she describes her childhood spent in Songaon – the tiny village, its simple folk and the Bappa.

I think she carried the influence of those years right thru! As dignified in death, as she was in life! 92 years! She passed away calmly and quietly in her sleep. Could one ask for a better ending?

Even at 92 she was as attractive in her looks and charming in her manner! I will always remember her softspoken and amiable personality; her smiling face.

My interaction with her was limited, our meetings not frequent. When we called on her or met at family functions we spoke not too much; but there was always an undercurrent of respect from my side and fondness from her side!

I admired her, especially for the work she did with the women in the community. She spent her time and effort trying to share with them all that she had learnt in life, thru her lectures, books and just praying together! She had created a world for herself and remained busy and fulfilled until the end. She never let go of her roots!
