LIVING DOLL

Ten years ago, god gave us a gift
Oh so beautiful, oh so lovable and wow so kissable!
Mama - papa couldn’t take their eyes away
Nana - nani, dija - dadi were over-filled with joy!
Hold her, watch her, fondle her, she was our doll.

Gradually she grew and lo behold! She’s ten today!
Princess of mischief, she calls herself.
A mind of her own, and quick for her years
She is a brat, a bully, an angel; all rolled in one!

Captain of her class – that’s mama’s girl!
Drawing and painting from masi she learnt
Wikipedia and word, skills from papa!
And soon she’ll be singing like her dija!

Parents, grand parents wrapped on her finger;
Her word - their bidding!
Its fish & chicken at nanis, laddoo & barfi from dadi
Chocolates galore and jeans & tees
Mama & papa shower her with these!

The light of our lives, our living doll!
