For Rakesh and Shalu on their 40th
			  March 4, 2012
Dear Rakesh,
You are 40 today and I was tempted to go Poeti.i.i.c; but knowing you I restricted myself. So just some thoughts that must be shared on such occasion!
To start at the beginning – You were born with a great responsibility – as the first representative of the Barve and Vidyasagar GenNext!
The entire clan looked up to you! And you have lived up to all our expectations!
A great Role Model for Neil and all cousins to follow.
That has been your singular most important contribution to us!!
As a son, you have given us all and more! As I’m sure you are doing as a husband and father!
I had a dream – that my kids do better than us. And I am proud that both of you have done just that!
Not only in Career, Status, Finances – but more importantly in your Honesty, Kindness, Humility, Endearing and Goodness – You have come out with Flying colors. This is not only my assessment but that of all my friends and relatives. And you know how important that is to me!
Of course, I take my motherly role too seriously even after 40 years! I know I must give up at some point! I also know you guys will cheer that day!
Then again a Mother is a Mo…..is a M…..!
Happy Birthday And God Bless from a Delighted Mom!

Dear Shalu,
This is one easy Milestone; but you’ve achieved it with elan and style!
What you have packed into these forty years, I haven’t seen many do! Be it the home front or work; you have taken it all on!
I know it was no cakewalk; and I’ve seen you burn the midnight oil; but you had the will and you found the way. Whether it be Rhea’s Open Day or hubby dear’s matching shirt; the tiles on the terrace or the electricity bill – they all got done whilst making it to Partner at KPMG!
I’m sure Papa is a proud dad, he’s left his legacy in good hands! And so must Mama be happy to be blessed with a daughter like you! We are proud too and pleased that you are part of our family! Wishing you Many More Successes and Loads of Happiness!
Lots of Love.
Mum & Dad.
